They installed about 30 recess lights with dimmer switches. They installed four bathroom exhaust fans. They did rewiring of our kitchen as well as a lot of other work. They are incredibly thorough and are very meticulous with their work. They were on time and were very knowledgeable. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend him. Walt Meyer and a helper showed up before appointed time. Went right to work assessing work to be done.
Concluded that one work item, changing a switch & outlet in the bathroom, would require major rewiring and plaster work, and more time than phone estimate. So did not do. Deducted $50 from original phone estimate.
Disassembled ceiling fan and removed receiver. Tested wiring. Installed and connected replacement Hunter fan replacement receiver customer had procured. Verified that remote control and receiver dip switches were set to communicate with each other. Tested fan operation. Problem solved.
Checked and verified circuit breaker box for circuits controlling kitchen wall outlets and appliances. Determined that a minor wiring change could separate the circuits controlling microwave and toaster oven. Did so and installed a GFI outlet to replace ordinary outlet. Problem solved.
Total time: approx. 2 hours
Walt is a professional electrician. He takes the time to understand the customer's problem, carefully tests electrical wiring before and after his work. Thereby avoiding return visit, dissatisfied customer, and added costs for both himself and customers. Explains what he will do before doing it so that customer understands the reasons for his decisions. He didn't try to up-sell me or "super size" a small job.

Meyer Electric did a big job for us, including electrical, lighting, and ceiling fan work. Everything went very well, and we were pleased with the work. It is not about six years later, and everything still works great. One thing that was really great about what Walt Meyer did was that he did his best not to create a lot of holes in the wall or other damage that would have to be repaired. He installed a lot of lights (and a fan) and there was very little that had to be done "afterwords" to fix any holes, etc. We were having a painter come in afterwords, so we were prepared to have him patch thing up, but he hardly had anything to do.
